I started this business when I realized I couldn’t impact more lives when I restrict myself in staying at the office from 8 am – 5 pm everyday of my active life. Growing up I have always wanted to help people especially orphans and the youth, and I knew I wouldn’t want to depend on donor support, so I decided to run a hand skilled business that I can earn a living to take care of these people around me and my family and also train and employ others. I decided to go into soaps and cosmetics because I realized it is one household commodity used by all. The rich and the needy, the young and the aged and also it’s a product we use daily in our homes, hospitals, offices, and most public places and this crates a high demand for such products.
The most important thing to me in my business is to produce effective and quality products of standard to meet my customers needs and demands and also to build a good interpersonal relationship and trust with clients and the people I work with.
My biggest challenge has been producing quality products and consistency in meeting demands for the products. In as much as I’m trying to do my best, funds to purchase materials in bulk for production sometimes becomes so difficult and this goes a long way to affect pricing of the finished product.
My ideal customer is someone who is health conscious, values locally made products and will patronize effective and efficient local made products any day anytime to boost economic growth.
My main goal for next year is to boost up production in order to meet the market demand and also to expand to other market areas. Also we seek to secure some necessary equipment , improve packaging and secure product registration documents.We aim to employ the youth and women in area to empower them to make a living for themselves.
