My name is FREDRICK SOGBE, and I’m the founder of Zayn Organic Cosmetics Industry Limited. We’re a Ghana-based company that transforms locally sourced agricultural produce especially tomatoes into high-quality organic skincare products. Our product line includes tomato-based soaps and moisturizing body oils made with natural ingredients like neem, coconut, shea, and mint. At Zayn, we’re focused on creating effective skincare solutions while reducing post-harvest losses and generating sustainable jobs for young people, particularly in rural communities.
What is the most important thing to you in your business?
Impact. Everything we do is guided by how much value we bring whether it’s to our customers’ skin, the farmers we source from, or the young people we employ. Seeing our products contribute to someone’s confidence or helping a farmer earn more from their produce keeps me going.
What is your biggest challenge?
Scaling up production while maintaining quality. Demand is growing, but we still face challenges with machinery, consistent raw material supply, and accessing funding to fully mechanize and expand our operations. Balancing growth with sustainability is something we work hard at every day.
Who is your ideal customer?
Our ideal customer is someone who values clean, organic skincare. They’re conscious about what they put on their skin and also care about where it comes from people who believe in natural beauty, sustainability, and supporting local businesses.
What is your main goal for the next year?
Our main goal is to expand production and distribution across Ghana and begin entering new West African markets. We’re also working on launching a contract manufacturing arm for clients who want their own organic cosmetics line made right here in Ghana.
